Pandora's Algorithm

I've really enjoyed the updated Spotify with Hi-Fi music and better streaming quality; However, when it comes to finding new music, it really lacks (like a lot).

My wife and I were driving the other day to lunch, and we started talking about records and all these artists we had never heard of. Then my wife said, β€œWhat about Pandora?" That is a site I have not thought about in forever, but I am glad she brought it up, as now that I've given it a whirl for a few days, I can happily say that finding new music is WAY better there.

I have dozens of artists I have never heard of saved in my discovery folder (Spotify Playlist), and it only took two days! Spotify rarely provides new artists, which I never understood why it doesn't.

To make things even sweeter, it's free with ad's and the cool part is the ad's are not all that bad and not annoyingly long. But, if you want to pony up a mere $5 per month for ad-free, you can, which is what I did.
